I watched Hotel Rwanda last night, and I found it to be an incredibly strong film. I remember vaguely hearing about the Janet Reno hearings back in high school where she couldn't/wouldn't/shouldn't officailly call what happened "genocide" and therefore saw no reason to step in, along with the rest of the Western world. I was deeply saddened and upset that the senseless killings happened and was sickened that people did this to one another in the first place. Why do we waste time creating wars in the name of "liberation"? This seemed like a much better cause and in fact would have been liberating to a society where millions had died. My .02.
